Bolton

The newest addition to the Williams home is Bolton Emil Williams, born on November 6th at 7:21 pm.  He is very healthy and is keeping me very busy!   Sorry that I have not been posting here.  With having him (8 days late), getting back into routines, Thanksgiving break, and Christmas now 2 weeks away I have been extremely busy.

Bolton053

Here he is soon after being born.  He was so alert.

DSC02927

And here is Bolton all dressed up as Santa.  He is one month old in this picture.

Time is flying by, but I am starting to get back into the swing of things and trying to organize my time.  Last night I finished our family Christmas Cards and place setting decoration for our Christmas dinner. We are having family over for dinner this year.

Look for my next post hopefully later today with new specials from Stampin’ Up!

Challenge Update

It has been WAY over a week!  Sorry I did not post earlier… it has been busy, story of all of our lives, I know!  I did however get one (very lonely) email in regards to the challenge!  Sheila submitted her design… here is the email she sent with it explaining who she did this for… Thanks Sheila!

Hello Heather,

Ok, this is what I created!!  I made this one for a man in our church that is stationed overseas for a year.  I made this one to send to him with a note of appreciation for what he is doing and 12 more like it.  However, instead of "thank you" cards I made them "thinking of you" cards for him to be able to send home to loved ones.

This is a great idea!

Have a super day,

Sheila

And here is her card:

image

For winning the challenge (great odds by the way *wink*) Sheila is receiving the Large Oval Punch at no charge!  A $15.95 (plus tax and shipping) value!

Thank you again Sheila for taking the time to make the cards and making someone’s day!

… Next challenge… coming soon!

Williams Family Update…

It has been a very busy summer and although I have attempted many times to schedule events throughout the summer, I have failed (but had fun anyways!).  With the nice weather comes camping season.  Our camping season came later in the summer than normal as we had a wedding to plan… and then the honeymoon!  Hawaii was a blast. I still need to get pictures printed and I need to post some on here!  Every weekend since Hawaii has been filled with either a Historic Military Vehicle event or camping, and even though I would not have it any other way, I miss stamping and stamping with my friends!

I do have an event on the calendar now,  August 31st.  To see the details, click here.  Kids 6 and up are welcome!

Baby Williams… has kicked my butt!  I am still feeling nauseous and exhausted most days.  We are getting very excited to welcome our new bundle of joy towards the end of October.  I will have events scheduled for before and after and look forward to starting another baby book!  Right now I am working on starting and finishing Jaydon’s kindergarten scrapbook and updating Trenton’s album, add to that to do list a wedding and honeymoon album (oh boy, I just got overwhelmed! lol).

Currently I am putting together a 10 for $10 class for Birthday cards 10 birthday cards for $10.  The class will be announced soon!  There will be 2 cards for a lady’s birthday, 2 for a man’s birthday, 2 for either gender, 2 for a boy and 2 for a girl.  5 designs total!   It will be EASY cards and you should be able to make all 10 in less than one hour (not including chatting and snacking!)

I know this has been a rambling post, but I felt out of touch will all of you and wanted to share where we have been and what we have been up to!  Hope you have all had a wonderful summer and I hope to see you all soon!

Family Album

My Grandma (Dad’s Mom) is turning 84 this week and in celebration of that my Aunt came up with an idea to have each member of the family create a couple of pages to put in an album.  For instance my Dad (well my sister did it for him) had a couple of pages of him hiking, My sister did a page or two of her and her husband and I completed three pages of my family.  Keep in mind that my Dad has 4 siblings and each of them has at least 3 kids.  Most of those are now married with children of their own, needless to say this album is going to be large and a great collection of everyone’s creativity!

I completed my pages and they hit the mail today with just enough time to arrive to my Aunt before the celebration… here are the pages…DSC02008

This is our title page.  I used Kraft Paper with Certainly Celery behind the photo and cut out the letters in So Saffron.

This page is certainly celery with some captions and stickers as embellishment.  I love the simple layout and think that my Grandma will appreciate it too.

To the left you have Trenton!  In the middle it is me and my father before the wedding and below is Jaydon and Mark at a Wrestling Tournament.  I hope that she likes the pages.

The new catalog is going to be available on July 1st and is packed with new products and ideas!  If you would like to be on the list to get one please email me.  They are free to anyone who places an order ($30.00 minimum before shipping and tax), hosts a workshop, or joins one of my clubs.  For more information please contact me.

This last week!

We did it!  On June 6th at 2 o’clock in the afternoon Mark & I were married at our homeIMG_2639 in Poulsbo and it could not have been anymore perfect!   The weather was great, not too hot like the week before and completely free of any rain!  Everything went off as planned and there was no drama (that we are aware of)!  The boys looked very IMG_2603handsome in their suits.  Trenton could not wait to get his jacket off, but Jaydon wore his all day and it looked like it was barely worn by the end of the night!

We enjoyed the whole day!  We had rented a bounce houseIMG_2659 for all of the kiddos and it got a lot of use over the entire weekend.  After all was said and done Mark surprised me by taking me to Clear Water Casino resort and spa for the evening.  He had even arranged for the boys to stay with our great friends for the night!  I am so fortunate to have such a thoughtful man in my life.

There are a ton of pictures and I will probably post more in the days to come but wanted to give you a sneak peak of our special day.

Quick Tip

I am sitting in my stamping room and enjoying getting some last minute scraping in before next weekend.  Unfortunately my round corner punch is in need of a sharpening… quick fix!  Take a piece of aluminum foil and punch it a couple of times, sharpens it right up!  Thought I would share this quick and easy tip with all of you.

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend!  Until next time ~ Heather

New Technique

Here is a new technique that I learned at SU regional’s in Seattle back in April…. DSC01895

I love the look of the water colored flower and it is popped up with Dimensions!  To learn how to do this project, drop me a line,  I will also be sharing it at an upcoming Crop, May 22nd from 6:30 pm till we turn of the lights!  If you would like to join us, let me know and I will send you all of the information!  It is FREE!

20 Days and Counting! until the wedding and although I am very excited to be Mrs. Heather Williams,  I am also getting a bit overwhelmed and stressed out in this crunch time (don’t tell Mark, he thinks I am all cool and collective! lol).   I will admit I have not been posting much lately as I have been working hard to get invites out and plan EVERYTHING, but these next three weeks or so are not going to be any better, sorry!  I will however be here so if you need anything, help with a project, a new idea for a stamp set or to place an order, please call or email me!

Thanks! ~Heather

Armed Forces Day Parade

Today we participated in the Armed Forces Day Parade in Bremerton, Washington.  It was a blast!  Trenton and I stood on the sideline and took lots of pictures of the guys going by.  It was a beautiful day and had a great time!  Here are some pictures of the day…

You will notice that most of the pictures are of the West Sound Military Vehicle Preservation Club, their members and vehicles… that is because we are members and love this hobby of preserving the past!  If you would like more information on the club, please feel free to email me!  AND, thanks for letting me share!

Hostess Club

Tomorrow evening is my monthly Hostess Club!  This club go-around meets on one Thursday a month at 7 pm and we create one project for the gals to take home.  This is always a fun-filled evening and tomorrow night will be no different!  Look for information below on how to join my next hostess club starting in July 2009!

At our regional event in Seattle last Saturday we received a stamp set “Best Wishes & More”.  DSC01759I have fallen in love with the versatility of this stamp set retailed at 26.95 on page 55 of the current catalog.  The sayings included in this 9 piece stamp set are * “ready, set, snow!” * “Wishing you all this… and more”  * “couldn’t do without you” & * “laughter joy happiness bliss delight”.   I used this stamp set for the following two projects which we will be doing at our April Hostess Club.

The first project is a magnet and uses Green Galore cardstock, Perfect Plum Classic Stampin’ Pad & In Colors Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin’ Pad.  I attached the flowers with dimensions (using 2 stacked on each DSC01757other to raise the Tangerine Tango flower higher than the outside ones).  I also attached magnets to the back of it and rounded the corners with my punch.  I think that my Mom will love this simple yet handmade gift for Mother’s Day.  Shhh don’t tell her!

The card that we are making could also be used for Mother’s day which is right around theDSC01755 corner.  I stared with Perfect Plum for the cardstock, added Urban Oasis DSP and punched with my Scallop Edge punch.  I then used whisper White Cardstock and stamped the heart stamp from the “Best Wishes & More” set in Perfect Plum, adhere this after distressing the edges to choc. chip cardstock and add a simple saying.  You could add buttons or brads or even a strip of ribbon if you would like but I like the simplicity of this card.

Have I gotten you interested in how you can make projects like these?  It is easy to sign up!  Here are the details… you commit to placing an order once a month of $25.00 or more in product (before shipping and tax) for the duration of the club and in exchange  you get:

  • A FREE catalog
  • To be hostess for a month which means at least $15.00 in FREE product and a FREE level 1 hostess gift
  • Invite more people or get outside orders for the month you are the hostess and earn more FREE product!
  • FREE Ideas and crafts that you are able to take home with you and use throughout the year!

The club always meets in my craft room!  Email me if you have any questions or if this is something that you are interested in doing!

Exciting News Updates!

March has come and is almost gone *sad*.  It has been a very eventful March for our household!  In February, Mark proposed so the wedding plans have been in full swing!  We are planning a June 6th wedding at our home.   The save the dates were sent out and everything is coming into place nicely!

Mid-March rolls around and after not feeling like myself for a couple of weeks, I decided to go to the doctor and get checked out!  Well, turns out I am pregnant!  We are very excited and although this is not the timing we would have preferred, it is a wonderful blessing.  Then, almost like a bell went off in my stomach, I started having Morning Sickness!  Everything is going better now and we have another appointment on April 6th.  So there is the news!

Now that March is almost behind us… btw today is the last day for the Sale-a-Brations Catalog… I am starting to focus on getting back to my regular schedule and that includes Stampin’ Up!  I will be posting my April schedule soon!

In February I hosted a 10 cards for $10 and it DSC01443 went great!  We made a 5 different cards (2 of each design) and were able to play with some new products!  This card is a simple 4x4 card and using the Circle Scissor Plus and glass mat we cut a 2.5” circle out of the center of the top of the card.  Stamped on a white 3.5 x 3.5 cardstock and added Micro Beads using Crystal Effects!  It is an easy, fun, and simple card.  Add a touch of ribbon and you are set!

If you would like directions for this card or to order supplies please feel free to email me at stamp-aholic@hotmail.com !

Keep a look out for my April Schedule to arrive sometime soon  and I hope you all enjoy your day! ~Heather

March is Here!

I am sorry that it has been so long since I have posted last!  My wireless internet decided to take an unapproved vacation and old fashion dial up was no fun.  After having 2 “cable guys” come out to the house we finally!!! have high speed internet!

The boys came home last night from a weekend in Bellingham and are both sick with the flu bug that is going around so today I will be taking care of them and hopefully able to post something more exciting tomorrow!  ~Like maybe the March schedule!~

Well, off to tend to the sick!

Snow… ugh!

Although the wonderful snow was a pleasant surprise it also hindered a few ladies from making it to an event I was having last night!  That will have to be rescheduled!  078I did however have the craft studio cleaned and ready to stamp… so I did it anyways.  I designed a couple of birthday cards.  The one on the right uses whisper white, choc. chip, and riding hood red paper.  I used the cupcake from the “Crazy for Cupcakes” the “Cupcakes” wheel.  I also stamped the inside with “Celebrate on cupcake at a time!”  a stamp set out of the “Sweet Little Sentiments” set, a level one hostess set that is so easy to earn!  I love using my new circle cutter and can think of 101 ways to use it for scrapbooking but sitting down last night to design cards I drew a blank.  Today I will be spending sometime looking up more ideas for creative ways to use this great tool.  I am so grateful to all of the creative resources available to Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and the chance to share them all with you!  My next event is on Thursday where we will be making a Happy Birthday card (not this one, I want to keep this one a surprise).  This is my hostess club meeting and if you are a member it is free of charge, otherwise it is $5.00 for the supplies.  There is still time to join, for more information please call or email me!

Hope you all have a great day! ~ Heather

Valentine’s Goodies…

It is dumping snow right now and it is so beautiful out!  I don’t mind the snow when I have no where to be!  I just took a moment to finish up Jaydon’s 045Valentines Treats for his Kindergarten class and they turned out simple and cute.  I also made a few for Thank You boxes but wanted to keep his simple as I needed to make 24 of them.  Thanks to Beate Jones for the idea!

These are really small but perfect for a few pieces of candy.  I used whisper white paper and rubbed my Riding Hood Red Stamp pad on it.  I stamped “Friend to Friend” on Riding Hood Red paper and punched it out.  That is adhered to the box using SU dimensions and the lid of the box stays closed when tucked behind it.  I am going to fill them with Hersey Kisses!  046If you would like step by step pictures click HERE.   To order the supplies feel free to visit my website and place an order.  Spend $50 and get a FREE item out of the Sale-a-Brations catalog along with a FREE Idea Book!

Do you have an upcoming event to plan?  Need help designing those birthday invites for your son or daughter?  I am always here to help!  Give me a call and we can make them together!

Off to bake cookies and enjoy the beautiful snow!  Hope you have a great day! ~ Heather

Box of Surprises

031 This adorable box is perfect for wrapping up a selection of handmade greeting cards.  Make someone’s Valentine by giving them this elegant box with some thank you, birthday, sympathy, or just because cards inside.  Do you want to learn how to make this?  It is easy and takes only 2 sheets of 8.5 x 11 sized paper.  I used my Stampin’ Up! wheel with Versa Mark and silver embossing033 powder to give it another dimension. Then to add that extra special touch, I scalloped the edges with my SU punch.    It took minutes to make and decorate.  I would be happy to share the instructions with you, just email me and I will send them your way!

This week is going to be a crazy week for me. Jaydon has wrestling practice Mondays and Wednesdays now which Mark is coaching so Trenton and I will be staying home (Trenton is too young and just wants to be on the mat with his big brother),  I am going to use these nights to hopefully scrapbook! I am finishing up Mark’s Valentines Day gift this week!  Oh Tuesday night there is a group of ladies coming over to make a happy birthday card and a valentines day card.  Thursday evening is my hostess club (still room for two more if you are interested!) and on Thursday and Friday I am working (yup, I do that occasionally) at a local flower shop to help them out with the holiday rush.  I am going to be all prepared for the rest of the week by the end of tonight.  Be sure to check out the events for February under “upcoming Events & Classes” post.  There is still room for the February 10th gathering and it is open to everyone, just email me if you are planning on making it!

Well,  off to finish (okay do a little more, I am never finished!) housework and get dinner started so we can eat before practice.  I should have more pictures posted tomorrow!  Hope you all have the chance to take a moment and get crafty!  ~Heather

Thank you…

I am terrible at remembering to send off thank you cards but I find that it is much easier to007 do so when I have them pre-made and ready to hit the mail box.  Last month I shared a simple “Thank You” card at an event but wanted to put it on here to share with those who were unable to  attend.

If you would like the instructions please email me!

Today was busy and I was unable to find time to stamp (bummer), but last night I was able to get some crafting in!  Our neighbor came over and we made boxes for goodies for our kids to hand out for Valentine’s Day.  It was great!  Tomorrow I will be working on projects for our Military Vehicle Preservation Club meeting… I will try to break away and create something special but no promises!  Hope you have a great evening and thanks for stopping by! ~Heather

Welcome

pic

Welcome to my first blog entry.  This is something very new to me!  Although I am very excited,  I am also very nervous.  I will try to post daily but I am a very busy person as we all are!  I have two wonderful boys, Trenton (pictured with me) is 20 months old now and Jaydon is 6.  They certainly keep me busy, but there is more!  I have a wonderful boyfriend that takes care of me more than I could ever have dreamed of!  (Mark and I have talked about getting married and are both looking forward to that day, but are in no hurry!)  I am truly living a fairytale life, well minus the laundry and dishes, cooking and cleaning, etc.

I am a full time Mom, Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, college student (on-line), and house-girlfriend.  I also help Mark with his business in the (home) office and out on the job sites whether it be stacking firewood or demolishing a house or truck driving.  And as much as I love helping him, I would rather be in our newly finished basement working on  a paper craft project!   I love scrapbooking and card making.  Others are so talented and I am very grateful that they are able and willing to share so that I can case their creations!

Later today I hope to scrapbook a little bit.  I am currently working on Summer ‘08’s book.  It is a 6x6 and although I love the little book, it is getting full fast!  I have already added 20 pages protectors.  I am going to have to do at least 2 books if not 3 books.   I am looking forward to finishing those up and starting a new album for Jaydon and his starting school!

Well,  I hope to post something tomorrow.  Right now I have to log on to school and get some work done.

Have a great day!
